If, for any reason, You are not completely satisfied with a purchase We invite You to review our policy on refunds and returns. The following terms are applicable for any products that You purchased with Us.
Interpretation and Definitions Interpretation
The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.
Definitions
For the purposes of this Return and Refund Policy:
- Company (referred to as either “the Company”, “We”, “Us” or “Our” in this Agreement) refers to OCTAVE Guitar Shop BD – www.guitaroctave.com, Ta-98, Gulshan Badda Link Road, Middle Badda, Dhaka – 1212.
- Goods refer to the all items (instruments & accessories) offered for sale on the Service.
- Instrument refer to the Musical Instruments including Guitar, Ukulele, Keyboard, Drums and others offered for sale on the Service.
- Accessories refer to any small parts related to the musical instruments offered for sale on the Service.
- Orders mean a request by You to purchase Goods from Us.
- Service refers to the Website.
- Website refers to OCTAVE Guitar Shop BD, accessible from https://www.guitaroctave.com/
- You means the individual accessing or using the Service, or the company, or other legal entity on behalf of which such individual is accessing or using the Service, as applicable.means any musical instruments .
Your Return, Replacement & Refund Rights
You are entitled to issue for a replacmenet against Your Order within 7 days.
The deadline for issuing a return for Your Order is 7 days from the date on which You received the Goods or on which a third party you have appointed, who is not the carrier, takes possession of the product delivered.
In order to exercise Your right of return, You must inform Us of your decision by means of a clear statement. You can inform us of your decision by email: hello@guitaroctave.com
We will inspect the retuned goods after receiving it to verify the eligiblity for a return, refund or replacement. If the returned Goods meets the conditions to be eligible for a return, then we will arrange the replacement to You no later than 14 days from the day on which We receive the returned Goods.
We do not offer any Refund on any sold instruments (Guitar, ukulele, keyboard etc) but replacement. Please read the terms and conditions for a return:
Terms & Conditions for Returns & Replacement
In order for the Goods to be eligible for a return, please make sure that:
- Replacement is applicable only if any item having Manufacturing Defect.
- Replacement is only available for Guitars priced less than BDT10,000 (Ten thousand)
- The Goods were purchased in the last 7 days.
- The Goods are in the original packaging.
- Normal paint wear and tear including sinking, discoloration, and paint shrinkage of the instrument finish for any reason are not be cosidered as Manufacturing Defect.
- Any instrument that has been scratched, used, altered, tampered, broken or damanged with in any manner is not eligible for replacement.
- Change of mind is not applicable for any return.
- Additional Delivery charges associated with any replacement to be beared by the customer in case of home delivery / Courier Service delivery.
- Return Shipping damages of any kind.
- We reserve the right to refuse replacement of any merchandise that does not meet the above return conditions in our sole discretion.
- Instruments with any electric amplification (Equalizer) system is not aligible for a replacement.
- In Case of Delivery with Courier Service: Product should be checked if it is in perfect condition as it should be. If customer finds any delivery related damage, it should be return on spot insted of receiving and should inform us immediately. We will arrange a new product for the customer. We will not take any liability if a customer receive any damaged product as we can not claim the damarage from the courier service we use.
Returning Goods
You are responsible for the cost and risk of returning the Goods to Us. You should send the Goods at the following address:

We cannot be held responsible for Goods damaged or lost in return shipment. Therefore, We recommend an insured and trackable mail service. We are unable to issue a replacement without actual receipt of the Goods or proof of received return delivery.
Warranty Policy
This Warranty is Subject to the following Limitations and Exclusions
The following items are not covered by this warranty:
- Any instrument has been altered or tampered with in any manner.
- Any instrument that has been modified after original shipment from OCTAVE Guitar Shop.
- Any factory-installed electronics and hardware after a period of one (1) year following the original date of purchase.
- Any instrument that was NOT purchased from an Authorized OCTAVE Guitar Shop.
- The cost of an initial setup, adjustments, or regular maintenance of your new instrument, including neck/truss rod adjustments, string changes, action adjustment, intonation, or loose hardware.
- Normal wear and tear on any serviceable part of the instrument including electronic controls, switches and jacks, worn frets, plated surfaces, tuning machines, string replacement, scratches in pickguards or plastic parts, saddles and nuts.
- Normal paint wear and tear including damages, cracking, sinking, discoloration, and paint shrinkage of the instrument finish for any reason.
- Subjective issues such as tonal characteristics, grade and color of wood or finish.
- Cosmetic characteristics related to finish consistency, replicability, application, retention, and durability.
- Cosmetic characteristics that do not impede the playability or standard functionality of the instrument.
- Defects in finishes such as cracks, splitting, or warping of wood due to changes in temperature or humidity, exposure to sun, fire, moisture, body salts and acids, other chemicals or non-industry approved polishes.
- Instruments that have been subjected to extreme humidity or temperature conditions.
- Playability of an instrument whose “action”, or string height, is lower than recommended standard “action” settings.
- Damage as a result of strap button pulling out of body (Note: Factory straps mounted to the body can only withstand so much pressure. They are not intended to withstand any severe abuse. If player will be using a strap, OCTAVE Guitar Shop BD recommends that player check strap and buttons prior to use in order to avoid any mishaps. We will not be responsible for any such claims.)
- All other defects, deterioration, and damage due to normal use, wear and tear, aging, misuse, neglect, improper operation, abuse, accident, theft, or acts of Nature.
- Case, and case hardware, wear and tear of any kind.
- Shipping damages of any kind.
- Any and all charges if no problem is found at time of repair/inspection.
- Any and all charges incurred from priority service requests (Rush Service) or priority shipping for replacement parts or return of customer’s merchandise.
- There is no warranty available for Accessories.
